Infant Star of the Week
Class 2 – Reception – Suki
The overall infant star of the week is Suki. This week and every week Suki always gives 100% to her work both in school and at home. She is currently at the top of our class reading challenge due to the brilliant reading she is doing at home. Suki always joins in with our phonics songs and this week has been writing some sentences about Top Dog all by herself. She has done some great work on telling the time this week and always shows that she is a kind and polite member of class 2. Well-done Suki!
Junior Star of the Week
Class 11 – Year 5 – Sam
The overall star of the week goes to Sam. Sam is a model student who even as a year 5 child is an excellent role model for younger children. In class Sam works harder than most always completing his work with exceptional levels of care and enthusiasm, whether that’s in maths, English or topic lessons. However what has really impressed me in recent weeks is Sam’s effort in PE. As a class we have been learning and practicing our Parkour skills, with jumps, leaps cushioned rolls. Sam’s goal for this half term was to be more positive, a goal that he is well on his way to achieving, and what better way to reward him for his efforts than to award him with the overall Junior Star of the Week
Class Star’s of the Week
Class 1 – Reception – Dakota
Dakota has done some amazing reading this week. Her story telling and understanding of the story is excellent. She even helped others in the guided reading group to understand the story. Dakota is a fabulous singer and dancer. We have been learning some dances from other countries and she shines during the rehearsals. She learns the dance moves really quickly and has the most amazing singing voice. She is trying really hard to do her best during lessons and has amazing handwriting. Great-effort Dakota.
Class 3 – Year 1 – James
James is definitely our class 3 star this week. His reading and writing have improved so much through his determination that he achieved 100% in the accelerated reading quiz and a high score in his neatest ever spelling test. He is cheerful with his friends and amazing in gymnastics lessons. Keep it up James.
Class 5 – year 2 – Remy
Remy is an enthusiastic member of the class who is always willing to answer questions and join in with activities. He thinks about his work and tries hard to do his best. In English he has recently written a great set of instructions on what to see and do in Fairyland using correct punctuation, adjectives and adverbs. He has also made a lovely model of the Titanic home and is really enjoying this topic. Well done Remy, keep up the great work
Class 7 – Year 3 – Eloise
Eloise is a very capable member of the class who is making great progress across all areas of the curriculum and who is able to work in detail and with some confidence, particularly in her creative writing using her imagination as well as strong verbs and adjectives to add create interest to her overall writing. Eloise also enjoys most sporting activities partaking in team and group games, Well done.
Class 9 – Year 4 – Matilda
Tilly is performing brilliantly in class this term. Her maths has really improved and her hand is up repeatedly contributing to whole class discussions. She then applies what has been taught to independent work and is able to help others who may be finding the work trickier. She did especially well solving 2 step problems that needed column addition or subtraction to obtain an answer. Well done Tilly keep up the good work.
Mrs Hamilton / Mrs Peck
Class 11 – Year 5 – Emma
This weeks star of the week goes to Emma. Emma is a very kind and caring young lady who is always on hand to offer her help to both staff and children. Her bubbly personality is infections and brightens the day of many. She is a really hard worker and that shows in the level of work she produces. Well-done Emma
Class 13 – Year 6 – Casiey-Ann
Caisey is my star of the week this week. She is always immensely helpful and works hard in everything that she does. In English she has focused well on producing a persuasive letter to convince people to limit plastic pollution and she is really trying hard to improve her maths, focussing on angles at the moment.
During a fantastic Spelling Bee practice in class, she was the runner up, which was extremely impressive. Well-done Caisey, and thank you for all of your efforts.
